Announcement after the 3rd extraordinary sitting of the Students’ Parliament of the UW for the 2023/2024 term

We would like to inform you that during the 3rd extraordinary sitting of the Students’ Parliament of the UW for the 2023/2024 term:

The candidacy of Maciej Raś, Ph.D., as Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Quality of Education for the 2024-2028 term was agreed.

The sitting was convened in order for Parliament to decide on the candidacy of Maciej Raś, Ph.D., for the position of Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Quality of Education for the 2024-2028 term. Earlier, the Board of the Students’ Union of the University of Warsaw expressed a positive opinion on the candidate. During the deliberations, the candidate presented himself to the sitting participants and then took part in a discussion and answered questions for just under three hours.

As a result of the subsequent vote, the Parliament adopted the positive opinion of the Board. According to the Regulations of the Students’ Union of the UW, the adoption of a positive opinion is tantamount to an agreement on the candidature within the meaning of Article 23, section 5 of the Higher Education and Science Act. Thus, as a result of the unanimous opinion of the two aforementioned bodies, Maciej Raś, Ph.D., has obtained the formal consent of the Students’ Union to take up the position of Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Quality of Education for the 2024-2028 term.
