Announcement after the 2nd sitting of the Legal-Regulatory Commission for the 2023/2024 term

We would like to inform you that during the 2nd sitting of the Legal-Regulatory Commission of the Students’ Parliament of the UW for the 2023/2024 term:

Commission discussed the draft amendments to the Regulations of the Students’ Union of the UW being prepared by the Board of the Students’ Union of the UW.

Commission leaned in favour of the draft Regulations of the Council competent for the student scientific movement, adopted on 8 February 2024 by the Board of the Students’ Union of the UW, in accordance with the UW Rector’s resolution of 28 November 2023, which obliges the Students’ Parliament of the UW to enact the aforementioned legislation by 31 March 2024.

Commission decided to discuss the content of the draft in advance, i.e. even before submitting it to the Board of the Doctoral Students’ Union of the UW, with which it is mandatory to agree the draft legislation. The deliberations, which were attended among others by the chairman of the Legal Commission of the Board of the Students’ Union of the UW, resulted in proposals of numerous amendments and suggestions made by the participants of the sitting. Representatives of the Board of the Students’ Union of the UW present at the sitting undertook to consider the comments made.
