Announcement after the sittings of the commissions of the Students’ Parliament of the UW for the 2022/2023 term

We would like to inform you that during the 4th sitting of the Legal-Regulatory Commission of the Students’ Parliament of the UW for the 2022/2023 term:

The Commission held by-elections of the Chairman of the Commission.

Kinga Starobrat (WPiA) was elected the new Chairwoman of the Legal-Regulatory Commission of the Students’ Parliament of the UW.

The Commission expressed a positive opinion on the draft amendments to the Regulations of the Students’ Union of the University of Warsaw.

The project is in connection with the changes made to the Regulations of the Students’ Union of the University of Warsaw in September this year. The proposed changes involve, firstly, the introduction of a provision specifying how the number of students of units that have just started providing education is to be determined (for the purposes of the regulations), secondly, correcting the wording of two already existing provisions, and thirdly, changing the name of the the Code of Ethics for Students of the UW to the “Code of Student Ethics of the UW”.

We would like to inform you that during the 4th sitting of the Budget and Finances Commission of the Students’ Parliament of the UW for the 2022/2023 term:

The Commission expressed a positive opinion on the annual report on the activities of the President and the Board of the Students’ Union of the UW in the part concerning the budget of the Students’ Union of the UW.

The Budget and Finances Commission discussed the parts of the report covering matters relating to the execution of the budget of the Students’ Union of the UW and decided to give a positive opinion on the parts of the document dealing with financial issues. At the same time, the Commission noted the possibility of making some changes in future reports. It recommended that they should include a juxtaposition of the most important data on the execution of the budget in the current reporting period with the relevant data for previous periods. It also suggested that the document should contain references to the Monitor of the Students’ Union of the UW, so that the reader could quickly find the legal acts concerning the management of the Students’ Union funds and thus obtain detailed data on the execution of the budget of the Students’ Union.
