Announcement after the 1st sitting of the Students’ Parliament of the UW for the 2025/2026 term

On Monday, 24 November 2025, the Students’ Parliament of the University of Warsaw for the 2025/2026 term began its activities.
The first sitting of the Parliament was opened by Wiktoria Gomoła (WZ), chairwoman of the Revision Committee of the Students’ Union of the University of Warsaw.
The sitting was attended by Prof. Maciej Raś, UW Vice-Rector for Students and Quality of Education, who gave the opening speech.
Parliament elected the Scrutiny Committee of the Students’ Parliament of the University of Warsaw.
It was agreed that the Committee would have five members in the new term, and then proceeded to elect them. As a result of the vote, four of the five seats on the Committee were filled. Immediately after the election of the composition, the first sitting of the body was convened to elect its leadership. The Committee consists of:
- Igor Roszyk (WSNSiR) – Chairman;
- Amelia Jagodzińska (WPiA) – Vice Chairwoman;
- Mykhailo Dashchenko (WNPiSM);
- Julia Wiankowska (WKAiA).
Parliament elected the Presidium of the Students’ Parliament of the University of Warsaw.
Mikołaj Chmielak (WNPiSM) was elected Speaker. Piotr Czestkowski (WPiA) and Aleksandra Łukasiak (WNE) were elected Deputy Speakers.
Parliament approved the composition of the Board of the Students’ Union of the University of Warsaw.
In accordance with the Regulations of the Students’ Union, approval was requested by Mateusz Mossakowski (WPiA), President of the Student’s Union of the University of Warsaw. The Board for the new term will be composed as follows:
- Mateusz Mossakowski (WPiA) – President;
- Piotr Borczyński (WPiA, WZ) – Vice President;
- Aleksandra Semba (WPsych).
Parliament heard the basic theses of the annual report of the Revision Committee of the Students’ Union of the University of Warsaw and the annual report on the activities of the Electoral Committee of the Students’ Union of the University of Warsaw.
The basic theses of the annual report was presented by the chairwoman of the Revision Committee Wiktoria Gomoła (WZ), who familiarised the participants of the sitting with the results of the annual audit of the Students’ Union bodies at the University level and their collegial entities and proxies. Next, the chairwoman of the Electoral Committee, Lija Bielińska (CE, WPiA), presented the basic theses of the annual report on the activities of the Electoral Committee, including a summary of this year’s elections of student representatives in the University’s organisational units.
